Sedona Overview

February 222010

http://www.sedona.tv/ Sedona truly is a natural wonder drawing nearly 4 million visitors annually. Sedona’s red rocks are the most sought after destination in Arizona, second only to the Grand Canyon in popularity.
At 4500 feet in elevation, Sedona’s ideal high desert climate boasts of four mild seasons making it pleasant to visit any time of year.
In the springtime, days are pleasantly warm and evenings may be chilly. Keep in mind, night time temperatures typically drop 30 degrees below the peak of the day.
Summer in Sedona is characterized by hot days and perfect evenings, making it an ideal recreational playground for camping, swimming,
hiking, mountain biking, shopping and whatever else your family desires.
Fall in Sedona is the prime season with clear blue skies, warm days and comfortable evenings. In fact, the fall is so pleasant, it seems like summer has been
extended to six or seven months long. Towards the end of fall, the leaves turn color and Oak Creek Canyon is host to brilliant beautiful hues.
Sedona’s mild winter lasts about 2 months. Occasionally a snow fall may dust the red rocks and what a beautiful sight it is…creating a contrast for outstanding photo opportunities. Be sure to take pictures in the morning since the snow is usually gone by noon….daytime temperatures are always above freezing.

They say in one of the peaks in the canyon of sedona there’s a portal. It allows aliens to come! They also say that sedona has healing powers. I’m one of the lucky ones that gets to live here in Sedona! I took my daughter to Red Rock Crossing last week (the most photographed spot in AZ) and it was just unforgettable – I felt like a tourist again! Then we went to Los Abrigados where the leaves are changing right now and we played by the creek. They have a bird habitat there that was so beautiful. Gotta love the fall in Sedona – its the best time of year to visit! You should see Oak Creek Canyon right now with all the leaves changing!
