im an arizona state fan, and im no expert at the rankings in college football, or who has what players or anything, but do any of you think asu has a good shot at getting on the top five bowls? (sugar, orange, rose, BCS, fiesta) i know the odds are they wont go undefeated these coming weeks against usc, cal, oregon, ucla and UA, but i mean maybe they could win a few of those games. so yeah, what do you guys think?

Its possible but they have a tough schedule ahead.

vs USC
vs Arizona

Out of CAL, Oregon and USC they must be able to win 2 of those 3 games to have a shot at a big bowl game.

   They would need to do very well against those teams you mentioned. Many voters like usc, cal & oregon especially so losses to them won’t help. Also the top bowls are mainly reserved for conference champs, with a few exceptions. So a Pac-10 title would be your best shot.

   If they win out, they get the rose automatic, and probably the big one. I haven’t really seen them, so not sure how good they are. Oregon is a good team, and cal has a good offense and USC a good defense. I

   I JUST DONT THINK THAT ARIZONA CAN BEAT OREGON. THE DUCKS ARE JUST TO TOUGH AND ARE PLAYING GREAT DEFENSE WHICH WAS THEIR MAIN CONCERN IN THE PRESEASON. I THINK THAT OREGON WILL WIN THE PAC 10 AND PLAY FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

   Like you pointed out. They still have games against Cal, Oregon, UCLA, USC on Thanksgiving night and the UA following week.. Only 2 victories I can see coming is just UA and UCLA is a maybe. Its been awhile since Sun Devil football team won in California. See if the voters are nice to you guys when you drop a game or two this late into the season.

   They can’t afford to lose more than 1 of their games, especially against Arizona.
