The song is based on George Strait talking to a woman. He says that if the woman were to leave him, he wouldn’t love her. That’s where the Ocean front property comes in. There is NO ocean front property in Arizona, so if she would believe he wouldn’t love her/miss her, she could have some ocean front property.

It means he still loves her, and would miss her if she left.

I’ve never been to Arizona and would like some suggestions!

Flagstaff the mountains. A little cold in the winter, but beautiul in the spring and fall. Plus it’s not that far of a drive to Phoenix, Sedona, The Grand Canyon, etc for a weekend getaway.

Me and my friend keep on arguing, because I have a boyfriend who lives in Arizona and he says when it’s midnight in Wisconsin, it’s 10 in Arizona. My friend says there is no difference. Help me prove my friend that I’m right. I’ve tried telling her, she says that there is no time difference.

The answer is it depends.

Arizona is one of the few states that don’t observe Daylight Savings Time. So that means they don’t change their clocks in the spring or fall.

So right now, Arizona is two hours behind Wisconsin. However, next month when you change your clock back one hour in Wisconsin, your boyfriend in Arizona will not. So then you will only be one hour apart.

I might be moving to Arizona and I just wanted to know what things are different out there from Los Angeles, California. Are there any laws out there that are not in California? What laws have less consequences from CA?

I moved to Phoenix from the Bay Area in Cal. about 10 years ago and found it very intresting especially the politics and how to live in the heat. The highways are very nice and smooth because less traffic, unlike Calif with bad roads. They have nice rest stops on Hwy 10 and they are clean. In the summer you need the AC on all night and the bill is quite high. The pool was warm after 8 am and people try to put cold water into the pool to cool water down. You cannot walk around very far even with water. There is smog in Phoenix but not like L.A. The university is pretty good, ASU, in Tempe just south of Scottsdale where I was. Some people drive fast on the streets but don’t get tickets. And they park wherever they want to in a lot. I am used to polite people in San Francisco. There is a feeling of the wild west sometimes because Arizonans are independent but not progressive. There are a lot of snowbirds in the winter from places like Michigan and illinois and you see a lot of white-haired people who drive slowly. Thats them. Some areas of Phoenix have a lot of crime, some areas are rich. The desert landscaping is beautiful and if you like a deserted road, just 20 miles north of Scottsdale to Carefree it is isolated. There is more rain there and it really comes down. In September they get humid weather from Mexico. The traffic laws are different but you have to check on that yourself. No state has the consumer protections of California. The real estate was much cheaper too and apartments cost half of L.A. or San Francisco.

I have never paid a state income tax and I am considering a move to Arizona. My income will be about 35K for the next two years and 48K thereafter.

Arizona collects income taxes from its residents at the following rates.

For single and married filing separately taxpayers:
– 2.73% on the first $10,000 of taxable income
– 3.04% on taxable income between $10,001 and $25,000
– 3.55% on taxable income between $25,001 and $50,000
– 4.48% on taxable income between $50,001 and $150,000
– 4.79% on all taxable income over $150,000.

OK I know things are bad with airlines these days but if I want to fly from California (maybe burbank airport) to any city in arizona, how can I get a cheap ticket?

I’m trying to rent out my mom’s house in Tucson, Arizona. What is required to handle this procedure? What are the steps that I need to take. What are things that I should take precaution to? Thanks in advance for your help.

Friends now advertise their house in AZ via craigslist. They used to list with a local real estate agent. You do need to check references very carefully and beware the numerous scammers that operate on craigslist. So far they have always had excellent tenants. Theirs is a winter season rental, and they get the entire season’s rent and security deposit in advance. So they have no problems with collecting rent.

Get the place clean and shipshape, then take digital photos. You can put a couple photos on the craigslist ad, then send more as requested via email. It is also helpful to have tenants set up direct deposit for the rent.
