Know where I can get donated Arizona State football tickets, monetary donations, or really cheap tickets?

March 232010

My youth group would like to attend a Arizona State University football game together, but most of the youth are from disadvantaged neighborhoods, so they are in financial need. I would be able to provide a tax id for donations.

The youth are diverse in background and one thing they can all relate to is sports.

Call Social Services they very often have a hige number of tickets for a wide varity of events at the venues. Sometimes they are "special" tickets. One year I took a group of kids to the Barnum and Bailey circus using tickets from social services, they allowed the kids in 2 hours early to attend "workshops" with the circus staff and then rode in a parade as part of the circus entertainment, it was wonderful.

What are the Arizona state driving laws for;moped/scooter?
Do you need a motorcycle license? Or is just a driver license needed?
Can’t find anything anywhere!
Thanks

The Code:
===========
30. "Moped" means a bicycle that is equipped with a helper motor if the vehicle has a maximum piston displacement of fifty cubic centimeters or less, a brake horsepower of one and one-half or less and a maximum speed of twenty-five miles per hour or less on a flat surface with less than a one per cent grade.

31. "Motor driven cycle" means a motorcycle, including every motor scooter, with a motor that produces not more than five horsepower.

34. "Motorcycle" means a motor vehicle that has a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and that is designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground but excluding a tractor and a moped.

a person shall not drive a motor vehicle or vehicle combination on a highway without a valid driver license and proper endorsement

6. Class M. A class M license is valid for operating a motorcycle, motor driven cycle or moped. For the purpose of licensing a driver, the department may endorse a class M license classification on a valid class A, B, C, D or G license.

B. A class A, B, C, D or G license is not valid for operating a vehicle that requires a class M license or a vehicle that requires a special endorsement unless the proper endorsement appears on the license.

==========

Your moped or scooter is a moped only if it is under 1.5 hp with a maximum speed of 25 mph, otherwise it is a motorcycle. For a motorcycle or a moped you are required to have a class M license — the same license is required for a moped as for a motorcycle. You may not drive *any* motorized vehicle on public streets without a valid license for that vehicle.

Is it possible to transfer from Chicago Community College to Arizona State University ?

March 172010

I have a bit of a weird story. I’m originally from Arizona, but i’ve been living in Chicago for 4 years now. I love Chicago a lot as a city, but i miss my friends and companions in Arizona, and the hot weather. I wanted to know, especially from somebody who has transferred out of state, how can I do this ?

You apply & transfer. I grew up in Phoenix but I didn’t want to go to ASU. I wanted to go to school out of state, and I did that, I’m going to college in Omaha. I got easily accepted. ASU is easy to get accepted to, it has a 90% acceptance rate, and you only need a 2.0 GPA.

Arizona State University (Tempe): How hard for out-of-state student attending private university to transfer?

March 152010

How hard would it be for an out-of-state guy (I have never lived in Arizona or gone to school there) to transfer to ASU after sophomore year? I have a 2.83 (my grades have been on a slight upward trend since my poor start first semester) and will have 28 transferrable credits after this year and I want to start at ASU next fall.

What you need to do is call the school and ask to speak to a counselor to get better information.

how do i get health services through arizona state agencies?

March 132010

My husband has many health issues. He’s on disability but won’t get medicare till 2007. The state were in is dropping his medicaid because they don’t know how to determine the case. We really need state medical help. We have no means to pay for medical costs. We were wondering what the state of arizona has to offer, as we were residents there a couple years ago. We choose arizona because of the fact that the region would also be better for his health.

I am in Arizona and get multiple services for my handicapped daughter. Services are pretty limited. However, you can apply for ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care– which is federal and they are more lenient on financial terms) and then AHCCCS (the medicaid program). With ALTCS you get AHCCCS but it is essentially forever. Arizona will automatically give you medicaid for 6 months when you apply and then you just get referred to other services and such,. You can have medicare and medicaid at the same time. Call them and see what help you can get. Google AHCCCS and find the phone number and ask them and they will be able to assist you
