Can you become a dentist by attending the University of Arizona?

March 232010

Is it possible to become a dentist by attending the University of Arizona? If so, is that a job that would be hard to make?

The University of Arizona does not have a Dentistry program. They only have the MD/DO. However, there is a DDS program in Mesa.

What do students in the University of Arizona do in the campus? Do they offer honor programs?

March 212010

I have a college research paper to do. It’s my final for this semester and it’s due next Monday. I couldn’t find any resources to write about the campus life(it’s required).

I know U of A is a honor college but I don’t know what to write about.

If you study in the University of Arizona, please answer my question. It would be a BIG help.

I am currently at the UofA (graduating in May 2010!), and campus life tries its hardest… Campus life has gone under since the last two concerts racked up enormous debt. I’m sure there’s always something going on…but lately, there has been small events like an art show that supposed to "connect" Tucson to France (really…?). Homecoming wasn’t too long ago, and that event is large-scale lasting about a week long, but it doesn’t really get going until the week end with the tents and the game. I enjoyed it because I got to see a lot of people that I don’t normally see…ergo, the point of homecoming. I usually look to off-campus opportunities. Pitbull is coming tomorrow (Tuesday), and I think I’ll get to that concert. A good source for what’s going on oncampus is the school newspaper: The Wildcat. Maybe you can look that up on the website.

I’m in the Honors College, too. They’re always doing stuff, but I think the best thing about it is that you can register for classes early. They also have supportive meetings/informationals about big-name scholarships. Regarding activity, the Honors College hosts movie nights and plays (where the actors are honors students).

Another big thing is research! The reason I chose this school is the research, and I have noticed that there are a number of opportunities to present research or see other peers present theirs (Undergraduate Biology Research Program Poster Presentation…this January, Graduate and Professional Student Council Poster Presentation (Homecoming)).

I’m sure other people do more…

Does University of Arizona clinical laboratory science degree program?

March 192010

My boyfriend is going for his second degree in clinical laboratory science and ASU (Arizona state University) is doing budget cuts and that program MIGHT be one of them. We’re looking at other colleges to see if they have the same degree, and if so does UofA have that degree program? Also if he goes to devry university is job placement going to be good for him the future?

DeVry is not accredited, to my knowledge…I wouldn’t go there.

Contact the school directly. They will be able to give you the details (they should know by now for next year’s admissions).

Will an F on my transcript affect my chances in getting into Arizona State University?

March 172010

Hey all. I’m currently a sophomore attending a community college with a 3.4 GPA.
I was taking 18 credit hours and I took a class through another local community college and ended up getting an F. I have never failed a class before, my lowest grade has been a B.
I want to transfer to Arizona State University in the fall.. Do you think my F will affect my chances in getting admitted?
Thanks in advance!

It makes you a marginal candidate. Take the class over again so a higher grade gets recorded instead.

March 152010

I want to get into chemical engineering and saw Arizona State University and University of Arizona. I couldn’t tell which would be better. Could you let me know,or tell me how i could figure out so if I found another I would know?

between the two for chemical engineering i would go for arizona state university. know a lot of friends that are majoring in it there, it maybe time consuming major but they’ve enjoyed it. also i would suggest to further take a campus tour and see an advisor for either university to check out each universities’ chemical engineering program.

I want to be a Nurse Practitioner, University of Arizona or Arizona State University?

March 132010

I want to be a Nurse Practitioner, University of Arizona or Arizona State University?
or neither? should i just attend community college and then transfer to a better school? what schools are good to become a nurse practitioner?

I am a bit confused. You can not become a nurse practitioner at a community college. But are you already a RN (bachelors degree)? You need to be a BSRN first; then get some working experience; the the NP is a masters becoming a doctorate program.
