Around UofA should be a couple of clubs to get the college students in. It deepends on what crowd you like to hang out with is the major thing to put in if you ask this question again. Not to sound generic, but I would google Clubs in that location.
I cant think of a better way to find info and businesses (because that is what they are) in a place I have never been.
